Unbreakable Love

Man today can split many things. Scientists can split chemical compounds and atoms, engineers can split gaps in mountains to build highways, surgeons can split open flesh to perform life-saving surgery. But there is something no man with all his capability or technology can ever split. What is it? It's the love of God in Christ Jesus for His people.

When Paul declared in Romans 8:38-39: “I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities…”, he is saying that the greatest of powers, the most terrible of forces, things past or present, from the highest to the lowest, cannot separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.

The emphasis here is the love ‘of’ God, not the love ‘for’ God. It is not about your love for God, but God's love for you. Often, man’s love is a love of ‘condition’ - that is, I love you when you deserve it. I love you because you appeal to me. But the love of God is out of this world. It is strong, it is rich, it is as Jeremiah says, “an everlasting love.” It is unstoppable, it is constant, it is complete. It never wanes, it doesn't go away. Nothing can separate you from this love, not even your sins.

May this strong love of God motivate you to obey Him and serve Him more today.
