Expository Bible Study

Oscar Wilde said that “To Live is the rarest thing in the world, most people exist that is all.” Work, eating, entertainment is just the endless pattern of their life. Their time, energy and effort is just spent on things that don’t have lasting meaning. But how do we live a life that really matters? What will really give lasting joy? Come be transformed through an in-depth verse-by-verse study of the Word of God.

Date: Every Tuesday at 8pm

We will be revising what we have studied so far in 1 John. We will also start on a new passage in 1 John 3:13-18. John reminds his readers that hatred is still the world’s reaction toward the people of God (v. 13) and assures them that love of the brethren is the sign of the new birth (v. 14a) and that the practice of hatred is the sign of spiritual death (vv. 14b–15). Having shown what the presence or absence of love in one’s life reveals, John next points out how love and hatred are manifested. He stresses the supreme manifestation of love in the self-sacrifice of Christ (v. 16a), indicates the obligation of believers to practice love (vv. 16b–17), and issues a call to practice true love (v. 18). We encourage as many of you who are available to join us online to learn these important truths. Newcomers are also welcome.

Class will start 8pm sharp
