When we talk about the Word of God, it is not just that I have a list of verses, memorized, I can throw it at anyone. No, no, this is not quite what it is. You read the Word of God, not just so that you arsenal of verses, you read the Word of God, so that the Spirit of God can use it to mold and shape your mind and this is given to us in this verse
And to be renewed in the spirit of your minds.
Ephesians 4:23 ESV
Interesting, the same author, Paul adds in the phrase, spirit which means, the attitude, the outlook, the posture of your mind, it refers to the whole way of thinking. So you read the Scriptures, not just for information, not just for the facts, but that God will mold and shape your mind, so that it will think in a particular way.
