Well, like I said this is December and it is Christmas time and so for these next four weeks, starting this week, we are going into a series called, “What Child is this?” of course, it's all about Jesus.  Well, I have two kids, two sons.  For those who may be new in Punggol, these are pictures of my two sons, Shawn and Matthias and I put that up because when they were in my wife's tummy, when she was pregnant and when she was about to deliver, we would tell, we would announce their birth to our family and friends.  We would do that, I mean, when you had your own child, you will announce to family and friends but has it ever occurred to you that when God's Son is bought into, brought into the world and born into this world, there also needs to be an announcement so what is the announcement for the birth of Jesus Christ into this world?

Well, many of you would say, I remember.  I remember it is about the, the, star that appeared to the wise men from the East, that star that led them to look for Jesus.  I say yah, that's a good announcement, that's a good example.  Some of you may say, no I remember another one.  I remember the angel who appeared to the shepherds by night that is another announcement.  I say you're right but does anyone know, what is the very first announcement that God made about the birth of His Son?  Most of us are familiar with the announcements 2000 years ago in Israel, but is there any announcement even earlier than that?

Today we're going to look at “The Very First Message of Christmas,” the very first one, the very first announcement from God that His Son, in a sense, will be brought into this world.  Interestingly this announcement is made not 2000 years ago, but 6000 plus years ago, not in Israel, but in this place called the Garden of Eden and it was an announcement made immediately after Adam and Eve sinned against God, so it's an amazing context for the announcement of the birth of God's Son.  It is given to us therefore, in this Garden where the serpent, Satan himself, had tempted Eve to sin against God and right after that, God said, I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring, he shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel.  Who is this you - I will put enmity between you…who is this you? It is the serpent and this is no ordinary “zua” (local dialect: snake) no ordinary serpent.  This serpent is none other than Satan himself. You say how do you know that?

Well if you go to the very last book of the Bible it explains.  In gene... in Revelation 12, it is said that the great dragon was thrown down; he is that ancient serpent who is called the devil and Satan. This is a story in Genesis 3 not about an ordinary snake, but about Satan coming to tempt Adam and Eve.  A little bit of the background as to who Satan is.

Did God create Satan to be wicked? No, when God created Satan, he was called the Day Star, the Morning Star, Lucifer, meaning someone who is bright and glorious.  In fact the Bible tells us he is a chief angel, a glorious, beautiful angel.  Isaiah 14 tells us how are you fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn, now, he was made beautiful and glorious, but he fell, he fell because he sinned against God.  You say what is his problem?  What is his sin?  The verses continue to tell us, he said in his heart, I will ascend to heaven above the stars of God, I will set my throne on high, I will sit on the mount of assembly and so on and so forth.  I will make myself like the Most High.

What's his problem?  Pride!  He says, five times.  I will, I will, I will, I will, I will, it's called the five ”I wills of Satan”, lifted up in pride, he sinned against God.  He drew with him, probably 1/3 of the angels, Revelation 12:4 says a third of the angels fell together with Satan.  Satan was not satisfied just to get the angels to rebel against God.  He now comes on earth in the form of a serpent to deceive the whole world. In order to deceive the whole world, he started with the very first.  He started with Eve and Adam so, after he had done this intentionally deceiving humanity to bring them away from God, so that they may now serve him, God pronounces that there will be a curse, there will be enmity, hostility between you and the woman.

Then we see another interesting person here, her offspring, her seed or her descendant. So, there will be a kind of animosity, a kind of hostility, a kind of warfare that will exist between the two.  So, who is this, her offspring?  No ordinary child, because this child shall bruise the serpent's head.  Now, when we read the word “bruise” we think, we think about what, we think about ’orr qi’ (local dialect: bruise), ‘tio bo’ (local dialect: correct, right?) wah, bruise ‘orr qi’ very bad, wah, no, no, no, no. The original Hebrew is stronger than that.  It's not ‘orr qi’ it's the word to strike or to crush, so this descendant of woman will not just hurt the devil, but will absolutely crush the devil at his head.  It is a fatal deathblow and the only one who could do that in the Bible is Jesus Christ, God's Son. That's why I say to you, Genesis 3:15 is the very first promise, the very first prophecy of God's Son being born into this world in order to defeat the devil, destroy his works.

Eve heard what God said to the devil, she said ah…so from me, there will come a descendant who will crush the serpent who…. “hai shi wo le” 害死我了 (Chinese: got me into trouble) who brought me into sin.  Yes, there will be one, she thought and so when she was pregnant with her firstborn child came, she called him Cain which means begotten and said I have gotten a man… ho, this is the one, but of course, as it turned out, he is not the one. Neither Seth, neither Noah, neither Abraham, neither the descendants that will follow until the Bible tells us, some 4000 years after this, in the fullness of time, God sent forth His Son,  born of a woman, born under the law referring to Jesus so God's prophecy is true although the time frame is not as immediate as she thought it to be, many years later. So in this verse we see a warfare between the serpent, the devil and Jesus Christ, born of a woman.  This is the very first Christmas message, a message of warfare, a message of salvation, a message that we all need to take heed but in this verse we also see a, a mention of wounds.

In order for Jesus to defeat the devil, there is a price that needs to be paid, there is a cost. You say what is it? Oh the serpent shall crush his heel.  Jesus didn't just walk in pretty; to save us from our sins, He had to suffer. He had to be crushed thankfully not in the head, but on His heel and so the entire Bible then continues to predict and prophesy more and more about the sufferings of this offspring, how they will plough upon His back, how they would nail Him, how His bones would be broken, how His heart would fail, how He would die, He would have thirst and how He would feel like He is surrounded by enemies and how He will be feeling forsaken by God.

All that is predicted and prophesied in the Bible and then when you read Isaiah 53, you can understand that this offspring of the woman promised in Genesis 3 would suffer great sufferings.  He would be pierced.  He would be crushed, not for His own sins, but for our sins, and upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace and with His wounds we are healed. So, it's amazing, the Bible just gives us details, it is like a story, doesn't give you everything in the beginning but as you read more and more, more of the details unfolded and you realized …aah now I understand Jesus coming 4000 years, after Adam and Eve is simply God keeping to His Word, He will do it  so we see Jesus on the cross, we read the Gospels, and we read of His sufferings, but all that is part of the plan. This is the wounds that He will suffer in order to set us free, to save us.

Now, you say….errr….are you sure, this is, this is sufferings or wounds inflicted by the devil? I thought it's by man, huh…I thought it's the Jews who betrayed Jesus. I thought it's the Roman soldiers who crucified him. Where is Satan in all that? Satan is the mastermind behind all that, in John we read that the devil puts it into the heart of Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus so there is a mastermind huh, there's someone operating all behind the scenes to betray Jesus and then in John 13 verse 27, Satan entered into him and then we read in Luke 22, this is the power of darkness.

Now thankfully, Jesus didn't die because it was only the heel. Jesus suffered, He paid the cost but finally look at this, not only are there the wounds, there is the win, ha…victory is on the side of our Savior because as we have read, He shall crush the serpent's head.  The serpent thought, the devil thought it was his finest moment of victory when Jesus died, not knowing it was the moment he is defeated.  What looked like defeat for Jesus is the greatest victory, because by His death, He will defeat the devil so you read in the Bible again, Jesus already knowing these things, say, now is the judgment of this world, now will the ruler of this will be cast out.

Again, in John 16 concerning judgment the ruler of the world is judged.  Jesus is not judged on the Cross-, He had no sin, but when He went to the Cross-, it was the judgment of the devil, He will be crushed and again, He disarmed the rulers and authorities. This is not talking about Singapore government or US government, this is about spiritual authority, the angelic realm, the demonic realm, Jesus disarmed all of them, put them to open shame and triumphed over them when He rose from the dead and we know the devil's fate is like reading a story book and you know the ending already, it's always going to be a happy ending.

The Chinese have this saying “邪不能胜正” right, “evil will never triumph over righteousness” and that is how it is going to be in Revelation 20, the devil will be tormented day and night in the lake of fire so what is the first Christmas message about?  It's a message about how God will send His Son, it's about warfare, it's about victory in Jesus summarized in 1 John 3, the reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.  Sin and death and hell will be restored as in our relationship with God will be restored, the penalty will be taken, man will be delivered from sin, that is why Jesus came and that is why the world today celebrates Christmas, not about Santa Claus, he can only give you a Gucci bag or a…I don't know what, toy gun, that's what Santa Claus can give, but Jesus gives us salvation and reconciliation with God so, I know I've gone through the verses, but this is the question.

So what about this very first message of Christmas?  What has this got to do with me? Three things I want to share as we wrap up.

1.  I can be saved
Number one, as you understand the message of Christmas, it means that you and I today can be saved.  You see we all suffer today.  This world is a painful place.  You have gone through enough heartache.  You have gone through enough pains, you today are dying, may not always be emotionally but you're dying physically, do you know that the day you are born, you're going to die.  Your body is breaking down.  I, I hear of some of our older folks, very scared of coming to Punggol church, you say why, because old already, don't know how to find the way, they are afraid of getting lost and if they get lost, they do not know how to get out of being lost, so as you get older, things fail, you are more fearful, your body is not holding up well, you need to have surgery here and there.

You say why is humanity like this? Why is the world like this? Because of sin, because God said in the day you shall eat of the fruit, the day you sin against me, you will surely die, physically we die.  This world is full of wars and turmoil, why? Because of sin and the worst part is that sin has separated man from God, you and I are not made for BMWs or condominiums or houses, no, these things, though very expensive are not enough for the human heart. The human heart is made to know the true and living God and man today do not know God, because we have been cut off from Him by our sins and that is what sin pays you.

When you work for sin, when you sin, you have death, physical death, emotional death, spiritual death, and one day you'll be in hell forever for eternal death and every one of us works for sin, the Bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, there is no one righteous, no, not one so this is terrible news, but I need to tell you, terrible news, I need to tell you bad news, in order for you to appreciate good news.

The good news is right after this verse, when it says, but you know the, the, buts of the Bible are so amazing. The first part is so hopeless, I work for sin, I die and I'm a sinner, I die, I can't save myself, but this is the good news, the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord - that's Christmas, the Son of God appeared in order to destroy the works of the devil, including sin and death and hell and now this is a free gift, you know what's free, a gift - it means to receive it without having to earn it.  It means you receive it without having to deserve it.

Every religion here tells you do good and then God will give you something. The Bible says no, don't do good because you can never do good to earn favor with the holy God, you can't! Simply humble yourself, bow before God, repent of your sins and receive this gift and this gift is eternal life, eternal life is knowing God and His Son.

Eternal life is not just money and health and so on and so forth, which every church seems to teach you. The Bible tells us eternal life is forgiveness from sins, to know the true and living God and His Son and it's given to you in Christ. The beautiful part salvation is not just paying for your sins and letting you go to heaven, this free gift of eternal life also means right here, right now today, on this earth, I can stop serving the devil.

Now, you may not realize this but you are all servants of the devil.  Before you come to Christ, we have no choice but to serve the devil. You say, are you sure, Pastor? In Ephesians 2, it says before you come to know Christ, whether you're actually an atheist or any practitioner of any religion, doesn't matter if you're very religious or irreligious, man or woman, Singaporean or US, whatever, the Bible says all of us are dead in our sins. All which means we have no choice but to follow the course of this world to follow the prince of the power of the air and who is this, Satan. We are like that puppet, we move and we speak, not knowing actually there are strings that are tied to the devil and he lures us and tempts us and causes us to sin against God.

We, we are slaves to sin, the Bible says but Jesus came to destroy even that and so subsequent verse in four and five, it says because of Christ - why because of Christ - because God is merciful, God is a God of great love, He loved us, so how does He show His love for us?  He gave us Jesus to make us alive to give us eternal life and eternal life is that freedom, liberation from the bondage and the power and the dominion of sin - that's what Jesus gives and therefore, there's no one else in this world who can save you.

You know why we bother to come to Punggol? Why? Why must the church exist to preach the Word? Because we believe, according to the Bible, there's no one else who can save. I mean, if God says, other religions, other deities, other heroes could save then maybe I wouldn't preach Jesus so much but if the Bible says He's the only one who could save I mean, we must preach Jesus because He's the only hope and He's your only hope because right in the Garden of Eden, God said, He's the only One who will crush the serpent's head.

Alright you say, Jason, I understand this, I can be saved but tell me how can I be saved?  Do I need to give a lot of money to this church?  No!  Do I need to help all the elderly folks in Bright Home, Evergreen Bright Home just beside us? Do good works to the poor around me?  No!  Salvation is not works, it's a gift.  So how do I receive?  The Bible simply says for God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes… it's as simple as that.

When you repent of your sin and believe in Jesus, who God says Jesus is, believing that He did die on the Cross and pay for your sins and rose from the dead, He says whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life and when you believe, whether in your heart or not you would also cry out.   Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Now, it means you don't call on Him, just to save you from your sickness, or from your bad family situation or from a lack of money, no, no, no, no, this save is very clear, it's salvation from sins, to know the true and living God, this is what the Bible is saying so today I want to say to you, you can be saved.  I want to say something as well; with you hearing this message you are more responsible to respond to God.  There are many people today who do not know this message but today, I hope you do, and it's one thing for you to know in your head, another thing for you to believe in your heart.

I pray today you will humble yourself repent of your sins and believe in Jesus with all your heart.

2.  I must go and tell
I can be saved but number two, I must go and tell, now here I'm speaking to Gospel Lighters alright, you are a follower of Jesus, you have believed upon Him, you're still believing Him, I want to say something, in this Christmas time, we must go and tell others about Jesus. See, the Bible says that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved but the logic is this, how can they call if they have not believed, and how can they believe if they have never heard and how can they hear if no one is sent to preach to them, it's very logical. We want people to be saved.  They need to call upon the name of the Lord.  For them to call on the name of the Lord they need to believe. For them to believe they need to hear. For them to hear people need to be sent so the question here today is, do you understand you've been sent to serve God?   This is not just for your Pastor; this is for all of us go and make disciples.

Now someone asked me, actually several of you asked me how do I feel, now that we come into this building, wah, so nice, lights, sound, everything, building, big space, comfortable, cushy. How do I feel?  Do you feel very happy?  I say yah, I'm thankful but I feel overwhelmed. I say it's a little bit like three years ago, when we got that land in Punggol. I thought I would jump yeah….you know, I did jump alright, I did jump I did yeah for I think three minutes and after that, I suddenly had a sense of overwhelming responsibility.  Not that I think I'm the one to do this, but we are responsible as a church to be faithful to the stewardship of the Gospel.  Coming to this building I pray as a church we will not be distracted by the building. Now it's a beautiful place, I mean it's beyond my own expectation. I kept saying, keep it simple, keep it simple, keep it simple but it's wah like that.  I mean it's not a bad way, it's a great way, but I pray that you will not be distracted by the building, our work is not done it has not even begun.

I mean I'm sure when I go to heaven God is not going to say, “hey Jason, your building very nice huh, wah, must congratulate you on nice stage and everything you know, very good aah you.”  I said, “I better wake up!”  God is not going to ask me those questions.  He's going to ask, “have you been faithful in making disciples of all nations, have you been faithful to teach and to help people become followers of Jesus Christ?” Because when God looks at Gospel Light, I tell you what, his eyes penetrate through this ceiling to look at your heart, to look at your life, you are what matters and what we do with the Gospel is what matters, not this building.

Now, let me be balanced again the building is a tremendous blessing, let's not run it down, of course not but if we take comfort and complacency in just this structure, we failed the Gospel.  Jesus did not shed his blood to give us a building. He came to save man from sin.   My question to you is, will you be faithful to go and make disciples, this is not just a once off, I mean, this is all over. Jesus in Luke equally says that the repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed. See the Bible does not promise blind health and wealth, that's not the priority of the Gospel. The Gospel is about salvation from sin, that is man's deepest need and that is God's greatest desire, and that we are to be witnesses, witness means tell someone what you know is true, Jesus is our Savior that is true, go tell the world. Elsewhere again in the Bible, you're witnesses and that's why the Holy Spirit is given to help us be witnesses, effective witnesses for Him and God has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

Reconciliation, a big word, what does it mean?  To bring two parties together. God has given you. If you are someone who's been reconciled to Jesus, then He's given you a ministry to bring someone who is far from God to be near God through the Gospel.  Like I said there are many who're serving God, this day. I mean, it's amazing. The people - cooking, marshaling, ushering, Sunday children ministry, it's, it's a huge amount of work and some of you say, well I'm not gifted for these ministries, that's fine, I understand.  Not everyone is geared for that but let me tell you a ministry you can never ‘siam’ [local dialect: avoid], we love to “siam” arrow come, we ‘siam’.

This is one you cannot ‘siam’ - the ministry of reconciliation.  This is not reconciling a couple that is arguing alright, not a marriage reconciliation or the husband and wife quarrel so we recon.. no, no, no, no!  This reconciliation is between the holy God and sinful man to bring sinful man to the holy God requires them to repent and believe in Jesus Christ, we are given the Gospel to tell the world so on this Christmas season, I pray you go and tell, go tell someone about the Gospel.  Now some of you are, ah Pastor I've heard you say this so many times I'm very scared, I'm very shy and I'm the introverted type.  Actually I am also shy and introverted type but I've learned that there is no excuse to living out God's calling for my life.

Let me just share with you three simple steps you can take to help someone come to know Christ, alright, three simple steps.  Ready, very complicated huh?  You got to be thinking alright.  Number one - greet.  Wow very complicated, no, no, no, it's not, it's very simple.  Number one, you got to greet.   And what does greet mean? Hi, I'm Jason, that's all.  Hi, I’m Jason.  Now if that person says, “hi, I'm John” and takes his earphones and plugs into his ears, you can say forget it la, you can pray wah God thank you, I don't have to talk anymore.  Maybe you would do that, but until he says no, you start the first step of greeting someone.

Number two, after you greet and say, “hey hi I am John” I love to talk… he's a Mr Chatterbox .. then what do you do?   Step 2.  If you die today, where would you go?  Oh no, no, no, you don't start that, please don't do that. That's not step two, step two is simply befriend.  What is befriend?  What's the definition of befriend?  Befriend simply means be friendly.  Very “chim” (local dialect: complicated, difficult) huh, befriend means be friendly…ask him about his life, ask him about his family, what does he do as a for a living, does he have any kids, what does he like to do, just chat chat, talk, befriend, warm up to one another.

And then step number three, the final step for the initial contact step number three is invite. Now please don't understand it as oh must invite him to Gospel Light Christian Church, no, invite can be simply inviting him to read a book, eh, I have this little booklet, would you like to read it, that's all.  I mean, it's because I think we should always give people the opportunity to say yes or no.  You can give him a book to read or you can invite him for Bible study, or you can invite him for church services like Christmas, this is a great time to invite, but you don't have to share the whole Gospel in the first meeting. That's the pressurizing part, alright, the very difficult part about being a witness is to live under this pressure as if God said every man you meet for the first time must give him the whole Gospel and make him say amen.  Wah like that, very stressful la, I mean how, no, no!  God doesn't, doesn't command that, if the person wants to, by all means, but most would require space and time to journey together so greet, okay three steps, greet, befriend, invite, that's all - that's as simple as that and I think Christmas is a great time.

Now I'm a Christian, I'm a follower of Jesus today, for some 22 years, but I really had first contact with the Christian message when I was… where it was 24 years ago, I won't tell you my age, haha huh … and it was 24 years ago, came to Gospel Light Christian Church, it was in the hotel at that time and I heard the message of Genesis 3, Adam and Eve and the serpent and I thought what a ‘hao siao’ (local dialect: bluff) story?  What a strange story, but you know what, two years later, well, I went to church that time, two years later, I went back and God's Word just spoked to my heart, subsequent to that.  Now you never know, you never know, invite someone, he may come and he may never come back for another 12345 years, but you never know but this is what we are called to do - just greet, befriend, invite and maybe your friend may become a pastor one day, you never know so Christmas is a time for us to go and tell.

3.  There is a hope
Finally I want to say, Christmas is a time for us to remember there is a hope.  Now we live in a very tumultuous time right.  China just seized our containers, wow, what's going to happen to Singapore, you say.  Donald Trump is president, kidding but we live in difficult times and the world is always reeling in pain you know that?

Romans 8 tells us the whole creation travails is a picture of labor pain, you know, women, you all understand labor pain, wow very painful, the Bible says the whole earth today is straining under such a pain because this world is not what it should be…. too much sin and sorrow and destruction going all around us. You know why, Satan, he cause it, isn't it and so today, your life may be in a mess, relational mess, health mess, all kinds of mess you can think of and it's so hard to be a Christian, you say, I mean, there's nothing to look forward to, my life may never get better and let me say this, I'm not here, we are a church that does not come to give false promises, it may be that the will of God is that you will never recover from your illness, it may be that the will of God is that you will go through sufferings all to the day, all the way to the day you die, it maybe I'm not sure.

God can heal but in His sovereign wisdom, He may also choose not to heal so I am not giving you false hope but there is a real hope.  Say what hope is there if my life is going to be painful?   I tell you your life right now is just so, so, so short compared to the eternity that is going to come and the promise of God is that even though we suffer and as Christians, we suffer more, we will be persecuted by those who do not know Christ, we will suffer in this life, but the life that is to come is unending and that part is where I have great hope because God promises us a heavenly city where I would dwell with Him and He will dwell with me.  He will wipe away all tears.  There will be no more sorrow, no more tears. It is eternal bliss now we can't quite figure out what that looks like now but the Bible promises that beautiful assurance and now we have this hope not wishful thinking, the biblical hope is a confident expectation so like Abraham who suffered in this life, like Moses, who suffered in this life, they were not looking to satisfaction here and now.  They were looking beyond the river as it were.

You can have hope.  You see the reason is because Satan has been crushed and we today who are under the dominion of Satan and the world that he's controlling, one day it will be reversed, the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet, so my friends, you may go through sufferings, pains, but we do not fear the evil one. Luther would say, “His rage we can ensure for lo, his doom is sure.”

I pray this Christmas season as we start off this series will be a fantastic one for you.  Don't let it be a tragic Christmas where you know the Gospel, you hear the message today, but you say no to Jesus and you are willing to die in your sins, let that not happen to you because you can be saved.

I pray Gospel Lighters, this Christmas will not be a time for you to go to eBay and carousel and buy lots of presents for yourself but let this be a season for you to go and tell others about the Gospel, go greet, go befriend, go invite, maybe bring them in on Christmas.  If there is any day in the whole year anyone is willing to come to church, Christmas, why do we want them to come to church so that we look good on Sunday, so that we have every seat filled, no, that's not the purpose.  We love for them to come but the purpose is so that they may come to Jesus and that our glo.. our God is glorified through them so go and tell - this is a ministry you can't ‘siam’, if you have been reconciled to God that's what He wants from you and finally I pray you will be a season of hope. Even if you may have tears, sorrowful, yet always rejoicing, knowing that our momentary light afflictions will work for us an exceeding weight of glory that is to come.  These thoughts thrill my heart, based on the promises of the Bible and God will never fail.  Blessed Christmas!

Let's bow for a word of prayer.  What would Christmas be for you?  If Christmas is about the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ, God's Son, what would it be like for you?  Today, I present to you, God's gift – would you receive it by believing, or would you still choose to reject and face the wrath of God against our sins in the judgment that is to come?

I pray this Christmas is one where you say, I can be saved. I want to be saved. I believe in Jesus to be saved. There's no other name no one else, He's the only One prophesied and promised in Genesis 3 all the way to the end of the Bible that will be the One crushing the head of the serpent, no one else has the power, Jesus alone, because He alone is the Son of God, who went to the Cross to die for our sins. You can be saved would you?

Gospelighters, would you go and tell?  So easy for us to be passive as church attendees, so easy for us to come on Sundays, week after week and think this is our Christian duty, my friends, that is not even the beginning of it all - you come on Sundays to worship the Lord because He's worthy.  You come on Sunday to hear God's Word because you need to be encouraged and equipped and taught in the Bible and the reason is so that you may then go to your world, go to your office, go to your homes, go to your playground and shine the light of the Gospel, be that minister of reconciliation, be that witness.  Go greet, go befriend, go invite, invite them to study the Bible with you, invite them to read a simple book, invite them, maybe for Christmas, even for the next few weeks as we look into the Gospel.  Who knows he may be saved, she may be saved, maybe not in our time frame but in God's perfect time.  Would you trust God and take those steps of faith, honor Him and please Him.

Maybe this morning you're going through heartaches and pains and sufferings. Maybe you wish to hear something in the Bible that says all those problems will definitely go away.  I say yes, they will definitely go away, but maybe not in this life time but you can trust God that even if it is not going away in this lifetime that it will be for the next eternal life to come and all that you go through today is for a very good reason. Trust Him, Jesus is the victorious conquering King, the risen One, the hope for this season, that's faith, folks.  Faith is believing God even when we don't see it yet.  Joy to the world, our Lord is come, let earth receive her King!

Father, we pray today, Jesus will be received into many hearts and Jesus will be proclaimed to the world all around us and Jesus would cheer the hearts of people today. Thank you, it's all about Jesus. May all eyes see Him!  We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen!
